The North Wind Doth Blow and We Shall Have Snow
and what will your drivers do then, poor things.
The weather has turned wintry this week and some parts of the UK have some wet snow. Now, this early in the year it is unlikely that any snow will loiter to cause trouble, but it could be a taste of the winter to come. If that is the case then the advice I gave on the 8th October is even more important.
You must ensure that all your vehicles operated by or for your business are prepared for whatever the winter climate throws at you and your employees. You need to give your employees the right tools and advice to deal correctly with the elements.
Here in the UK we have little snow these days, this has resulted in drivers being unaware of how to drive in these conditions. This means that as a driver you need to give the other drivers a bit more space than normal, because you may have the skill to drive in snow, but the other may not.
