Should enforcement be influenced by potential cost?
Richard Brunstrom has made some very interesting observations in this article which makes rather disturbing reading.
I agree that we should be reducing the risks on the UK’s roads by removing the dangerous, reckless and other rogue drivers, but his comment that for North Wales Police to enforce the rules may lead to a loss of business at Holyhead because the trucks will use another port is really quite disturbing.
I would have expected that all the Police Forces in the UK would be equally diligent in prosecuting those who choose to recklessly break our laws.
Anyone who breaks the rules of the road should have the book thrown at them.
