December 9th 2008 – A Communications Review
In the age of instant communication we have had to review the communications systems used here at the North Pole. It appears that they use Long Wave Radio and Mobile Phones here to communicate with the sleigh and the usual fax, phone and email to deal with land based calls and messages.
Apparently communication with the sleigh is vital as children are emailing with address changes right up until they go to bed. This information has to be relayed to Santa so that the presents are delivered to the correct location.
Now even Santa cannot use a hand-held phone whilst driving the sleigh, and I am rather worried about him using a hands-free one too. We have acquired some magic dust from the technical team here at the North Pole and we have tweaked Santa PDA to only receive updates when the sleigh is stationary and his phone will not work either unless the sleigh is stationary too.
We can now ensure that all Santa communications are save and secure.
