December 12th 2008 – It all about insurance
Jason Cobine from Cobine Carmelson Ltd has made the trip North to better understand how the grotto works so he can seek out insurance to suit the needs of the client.
I do know that Jason is looking into Public Liability in case the sleigh holes a roof and employers’ liability in case one of Santa’s helpers hurts themselves (perhaps when falling off the sleigh). Santa will also consider interruption cover in case the grotto or sleigh are damaged (hopefully Santa can locate a spare sleigh to complete the rounds) and perhaps goods damaged in transit or storage. With a bit of advice Santa should be able to manage these risks himself, keep the insurance to a minimum, not waste money and never concern himself that what he thought was covered actually wasn’t.
