December 16th 2008 – Loading the sleigh

I had to explain to the Head Elf that there is a maximum weight that the sleigh can be used at, of course he told me that it was not an issue and not to worry about it.  I do worry about it so I had them load the sleigh fully with presents, and yes I know it is a week early, and weigh it.

You can imagine my surprise when the sleigh weighed the same as it did when it was empty.  I checked all the presents were there and there was no extra weight.  I am sure that Comet was laughing at me whilst I was doing all this as I must have looked a bit odd running between the weigh-bridge display and the sleigh.

Mind you this also solved the problem of how to secure the presents to the sleigh as they sort of vanished into the sack, only to appear when Santa delved into the depths for them.

At least nothing is going to fall from the sleigh and injure anyone.
