Accident Investigation – It’s not about blame, it’s all about cause

All businesses should be doing their own accident investigations because they have to understand what caused the collision, if they are going to avoid the same thing happening again.  You cannot get your insurance company to do this or you because they are only interested in blame rather than cause, equally the Police may look at some of the reasons the collision occurred but that is because they are looking for someone to prosecute.

Understanding why the collisions are occurring will have a dramatic effect of your business because once you understand this aspect you can work on preventing them happening again.

It could be that certain routes or vehicles are causing more accidents than others and a better understanding will allow you to make the best decisions about your business.

If you do not know how to interpret your information or would like to know what types of questions you should be asking, you can give the team a call for some advice.
