As part of my role within ACFO I am representing them within the Driving for Better Business program. The Driving for Better Business program is sponsored by the Department for Transport and managed by Roadsafe to promote improved safety and risk management within the business sectors which use vehicles in connection with their work.
The basic premise behind the program is that businesses are the best people to advise other businesses on best practice rather than the government trying to do it, this is because businesses speak the same language.
The people involved in the program are either safety practitioners or business champions, the champions are organisations who have travelled the journey from a position of having weak systems to a place where they have better systems that are almost without fail saving them money or just keeping their employees safer.
