The importance of forward planning
Today’s article is not about vehicles at all, but it does apply to vehicle use and most other areas of life.
During a routine software update yesterday morning my desktop office computer ground to a halt and crashed, now this didn’t initially concern me as computers crash on a regular basis.
So I clicked the reboot button and waited and waited and waited, then it appeared….
The blue screen of death, that vision of horror that tells you that things have just got very very bad.
So I now need a crash investigator of my own, to investigate my crashed pc.
A call to the IT Team at AML Midlands Ltd quickly arranged for a technician to attend the office this morning and I am safe in the knowledge that their off site backup server, which takes a back up of my important files every evening at 6pm.
He is not due for another hour, but because I planned ahead and ensured I have a secure back-up even if he has to re-configure the hard drive the important records to maintain my business will be retrievable.
So like I always say, plan for the worst and you will be well served.
