December 18th 2008 – Drug and Drink Testing

I have had to make the journey to the North Pole myself this week armed with Drink and drug testing kits as my team have refused to carry out the task.  Apparently Rudolf and Comet have been rather vicious when they have been approached before for testing, so it is down to me to do it.

The Head Elf agreed to be tested first to show that it was safe and everyone would be going through the process.  Then Santa and Mrs Claus were tested along with all the other elves.

These all tested clear for all substances, though the elves had a sugar content not seen previously anywhere else in the world.  Luckily for me sugar is not an illegal substance.  Mrs Claus showed a higher than normal alcohol reading, but she has been busy making Christmas Puddings and tasting them too.

So I can’t put it off any longer and I have to test the reindeer.  Boy are they a grumpy lot, but we got the sample in the end and I still have all my fingers and no holes in any of my clothing.

This is where the problem is, I know now why Rudolf’s nose is red.  Apparently he is partial to Mrs Claus’ puddings and they are laced with Brandy, this as made him way over the Drink-Fly limit.  Rudolf is now on a detox programme to get him clear before next Wednesday night.

Comet did not test positive for any illegal products, but he does have some very interesting traces of unusual products.  Who would have thought a reindeer would be eating things like that.

December 17th 2008 – Tracking the Sleigh

The satellite tracking of vehicles can provide businesses throughout the world with important information on how the vehicles are being driven and used.  Here at the North Pole we have access to the best tracking system in the world and better still so do you.

NORAD tracks Santa each year and this year they are doing it again.  This means we don’t need to install any additional technology into the sleigh.  We managed to run a test yesterday and the guys and girls at NORAD picked up the thermal glow with ease and had a track on Santa throughout the test.

We are all set here to monitor the progress of Santa over the Christmas night.

I shall be tracking Santa on Christmas eve, will you?
